Teaser Tuesdays

Today’s Teaser Tuesday quote is from Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier. I’m not far into it and haven’t decided if I will stick with it, as I haven’t been really interested in anything it’s had to show so far. But we’ll see 🙂 If I do finish it, it will count towards my 2010 goal of reading 5 books published in 2010 and my Historical Fiction Challenge. (I know it’s sort of cheating to count it for both, but that will only be if I can’t get more read, like I hope to.)

“I have longed to move from jaw to eye, but I have noticed that people do not change which feature they lead with, any more than they change in character. And so I am stuck with my strong jaw that puts people off, set in stone like the fossils I collect.” p.8

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. I love historical novels. I’ve seen this one around, but I don’t know much about it. I’ll be keeping an eye our for your review.
