Teaser Tuesdays

“His hat is gone, and so is his head. But I still recognize the white of his suit.”
Shanghai Girls by Lisa See (quoted from the audiobook; this is also a book for my Historical Fiction Challenge)

I cannot tell if this is really two sentences, but the way it is read makes it sound like this is. It could possibly be three. But I just started from where I left off and it seemed like a good quote.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I really enjoyed Shanghai Girls. I should give Peony in Love another chance…

Mine was audio, too. But I googled it for the text. 🙂

Good teaser – I still need to read SG. I was waiting for paperback to match her other books but I’m sick of waiting.
