One of my favorite authors is Lauren Willig. She writes historical romance books, a series that I love 🙂 (It’s called the Pink Carnation series, if anyone is interested.) She writes a new book about every year, so I knew that I would be able to buy a new book coming January 12th–The Betrayal of the Blood Lily–but there’s more this year! She has announced that she’s going to be releasing another book this year, The Mischief of the Mistletoe. Not only does this mean I have another book to love, but apparently it will be featuring another favorite author, Jane Austen.
In a way that sort of ruins one of the goals I’m thinking of having for next year: reading nothing that concerns Jane Austen. I love anything to do with Jane Austen, but, let’s be honest, it’s often the same sort of story time and again–so I want to broaden my horizons. However, in this case I will still read it because, if the summary says what I’m thinking, it’s more of a cameo of JA, not as the feature character.
I’m just so excited that I will be getting two new Willig novels in 2010, rather than the annual one novel 😀
